A very clean sounding amplifier, with very awesome distortion performance! It is decently powerful, but the equalizer is a bit unresponsive, but that could be due personal preference more than anything. I as a electronics nerd who have built and messed with a lot of amplifiers do not think it can handle the power it claims continuously for longer periods of time. I have one in completely untouched original condition that I have taken apart to clean and check over for bad solder joints etc, and I also took a bunch of gut shots :3 The power transformer is a bit too small to handle the rated power continuously, I think it would overheat. But then again this is a Hi-Fi amplifier, and it was probably not designed to push full power all day long. (I am a pro audio enthusiast, so I have pretty high standards when it comes to continous power) It has plenty of heatsinking, and the capacitors have not gone bad yet, which tells me they used pretty good quality ones. They look to be nichicon, but a lot of them only have uF ratings and working voltage written on them. I think this is definetely worth picking up if you can find one for cheap, and is willing to do some work to it before taking it into daily service. Checking for bad solder joints is mandatory on all older gear, and the capacitors will eventually need to get replaced, but mine is still going strong today!

Denon PMA 715R is a powerful amp but the bass is abit too heavy comparing with my previous Yamaha. But this is individual taste comment.
