Sansui 7070

by stan armstrong Date Added: Tuesday 05 November, 2013
I owne an original (original owner) Sansui 7070. Original box, packaging, manuals, schematics, and the unit is pristine. I used rockler light oak veneer to redo the original cabinet.
It comes with a plastic looking coating that begins to peel after 5 years or so. Stained with
watco dark walnut stain and 6 coats of clear polyurathane. It looks beautiful. The unit works
wonderfully and all functions operate precisely. I have it hooked to 4 speakers: polk and
jbl bookcase speakers. The bass and highs are incredible and I wouldn't get rid of it for anything. The receiver fm radio picks up really well and lighted fm indicators tell when the
station is coming in fm. No scratches and the things has been cared for. The turntable is a dual
521 and the receiver sounds phenomenal with vinly media. I also use a JVC dual cassette deck
for cassette playback and a yamaha cd player for that media all work excellent through this
amplifier / receiver. No need to buy the junk on the shelves anymore. I am so glad I purchased this unit in 1979.
