I bought it yesterday at a swapmeet. I was curious about this kind of amps, small and cute. Inside one of the two fuses was gone, which I changed and it worked perfect with ar4x speakers.
It sounds real clear specially in high tone.
Normally, audiofiles are not satisfied with the high tone of the ar4x. But if they listen with the sansui au-101, they will get the full satisfaction.
I guessed it had the power of around 25 watts, but now I know , it is 15w. more wonder.

The Au101 was produced from 1973 to 1975 and was highly rated by critics. The amp poduced 15 watts at 8Ohms and was praised for its clear and well controlled rendering of music. With the AU101 Sansui proved just how good a budget amp can be and perhaps the one sriticism that could be made is that this little gem wasn\'t manufactured for long enough!
