what an elegant ,flexible,great sounding pre amp...LOOKS GOOD ...SOUNDS GOOD,what else could you want.
PRICE...well you can pick up these sweeties at a REASONABLE cost...BECAUSE...audiophiles these days do not want tone controls or anything extraneous to their thinking of minimalism is best.
power...on...off...volume,balance and input selector...that is the SUPPOSED road to audio nirvana.
the Sansui ca2000 is a very well built pre with Quality components that just quietly says...PICK ME...I WILL DELIVER.
DELIVER...IT DOES...AND IT DOES SO WITH LITTLE EFFORT...because it is built with care and a mindset,that is only found in very high end components of today.
there are three tone controls that can be utilized with turn overs making this useful in recording,something minimalists avoid...but if you record at all,these things are necessary.
MM,MC PHONO is really sweet...wide band frequency range and very low distortion make for a sound that is hard to ignore.
this pre amp is a VERY,VERY NICE SOUNDING component,tone controls can be switched out and the soundstage is very precise.
high quality construction means longevity and high quality pots regularily cleaned give the owner years of very fine sound...
you cannot lose.
i have had my TU 9900,CA2000,BA2000 hooked up to LEAK SANDWICH 500 speakers since new and today july 2016,my system still delivers...and delivers with FINESS...
