Sansui G-7000

by Seth Katz Date Added: Thursday 01 December, 2011
I like the G series one of the best Sansuis. But there is an error in the power specs for the G-7000 on this page, The 7000 comes in at 80 watts per channel RMS. The G-8000 is rated at 120 watts per channel. They're still all great receivers. They have a well defined sound stage. You really feel like the speakers aren't in the room. There is plenty of well defined bass. Build quality is stellar. After the G series, quality started to suffer. And don't waste money on a G-9000 if you don't need that much power. It's just a costly status symbol. Most people will never need 160 watts of Sansui power. I can run my Klipsch speakers on 25 watts which make my ears hurt.
