Bought mine in '79 and over 43 years its has gone through periods of use and storage.
This was always a fantastic piece of equipment manufactured to the high Japanese export standards of the 1970's. Great crisp sound and excellent control options for example - tape to tape crossovers.
Beautifully simple in design and layout to anchor the heart of a god component system.
If only things these days were made to this quality.

To the previous reviewer, this amp has two protection fuses under a clear plastic cover on the back, it's likely you've blown one of them. They are there to protect your speakers!

I bought this excellent piece of kit over 40yesrs ago, Inthat time I've had the unit repaired twice and the blown speakers replaced twice. When I bought it, I wanted to hear the music clearly even when down low and ultimately to blow the roof off when I was fed up with quietness.
Since I've moved house the separates have been in storage for 5 years. Within the last few days, I have put power through the beast, the sound on one channel is perfect but on the other there is a fault. I believe there are two amp units in the box, hopefully I can fact find the problem and replace the unit. This kit is definitely worth the effort, unfortunately my technics man died, so fingers crossed I'll find another tech wizard.
