I bought mine brand new in 1980. It has been rock solid. The sound has been clear and clean.
After 35 years of faithful service, I now have a dirty contact which causes one channel to drop out from time to time. It always cleans up again if I push the Stereo/Mono button a few times, and then it sounds just fine again. If I could find another one at a fair price, I'd probably buy it.

The advertised 60 wpc is probably very conservative. Some of the stuff on the retail shelf rated at more than a hundred wpc would probably have a nervous breakdown trying to match this wonderful amp.

Hello, I own a Technics 8077 for 30 years now and I must say it's the best ampflier I ever owned.
It is turned on almost every day and until now the only thing I had to change is the power on led.
Sound is very good and although it was a very expensive item in 1980 i'm glad I bought it.
I know it's an old item, it even doesn't have a cd-input but if you'r looking for a vintage technics I only can recommend it. They are still available on ebay for a small amount of money. In working condition it's well wearth the money.
