Banner Placement Information

You can place a banner for any number of months. We charge on a per-month basis. Banners must be GIF or JPEG images, have dimensions of 468x60, and be under 24,000 bytes in size. They may be animated.

We reserve the right to refuse banners that we believe are offensive or rude, or that link to pages that we deem offensive or rude.

Also, we expect banners to achieve a minimum level of visual quality - we really try to avoid having banners on the site that are crudely made. Optional banner design services are available with placement. We can design a banner for you for a one-time fee of $75.00 (per design cycle - each try is $75.00, but so far, customers have liked the first version every time!) Just state that is what you want done and we'll create a beautiful custom banner for you within one or two business days.

"Top" Banners

These banners appear on the top of the home page for the Technics site. That means that these are the first thing our visitors see when they surf in, every time. They cost $40.00 per month and are worth every penny; this specialized exposure is not available anywhere else on the web, period.

Standard Banners

Standard banners are placed on the next available page in the top series of pages for the site, such as the tips and tricks page, or the FAQ page, and so on. They are $10.00 per month. We choose the page where standard banners are displayed automatically, based on availability and highest number of hits. When a banner on a higher hit-count page expires, the banners on the lower hit-count pages "move up" so they are receiving the maximum number of exposures.

As orders for banner placement are received they are placed in the queue for available pages. This means that if a one month placement is purchased by Customer A, and then Customer B buys a one month placement, and then Customer A re-orders another month, even while Customer A's banner is still up, when Customer A's placement expires, Customer B is ahead of Customer A for placement.

If you wish to retain the highest possible placement, then order as many months at a time as it is practical for you to manage.
