I really don't remember what i payed for mine, but I have one of these receivers and it sounds great.
It sounds as good as the Marantz ( which needs repaired, it took a spike).
It is aesthetically nice and the controls are layed out in a very convenient array.
My only beef is the loudness control, which I would far rather have simple button that kicks loudness in and out. I don't find the added feature of being able to adjust the loudness to be of any real benefit for casual listening.
