This is a gem of a solid state unit and from what I understand it has discrete parts in some important places as opposed to integrated circuits that the bigger CR Yamaha brethren partake of. Bigger is definitely not always better!
I have some high-end gear in my main system and I have this receiver hooked up in my bedroom system with a pair of Fostex FE108E Sigma Full range drivers in Buschhorn cabinets and it sounds wonderful!
