I bought the Denon POA 2400 together with a PRA 1500 pre. 15 years or so ago I had both refurbished and many caps were replaced. Since then, they both have functioned well with Spendor BC1 and KEF reference series 1 and 3. Then I read an article on passive pre's. I bought one, and the POA 2400 turned out to be better than I thought. I no longer use the PRA 1500. While upgrading to HIres audio, slowly but surely the Denon becomes the weakest link in my audio chain, without have compared it to another power amp so far.
