Because the Marantz Classics site receives so many visitors per
day (we're approaching a million and a half views of the index page alone!),
I get a lot of E-Mail asking me questions. Sometimes
it is overwhelming. Rather than tell people not to email me
(which I really don't want to do anyway), I ask that you look at
the list below and see if you are going to write about one
of these issues.
If you are, please read the stock answer before you write
me. I'm happy to expand on anything I can, but if I've already
written up the answer on the site, You need to read it on the
site; I won't answer questions that are already answered on the
site, I just don't have the time. I thank you for your courtesy
in reading the FAQ and
Tips and Tricks pages first!
- "My question is..."
Many general Marantz questions are answered on the
FAQ
and the
Tips and Tricks
pages. Please read them before you email.
- "I have a model (whatever) Marantz that I don't
see listed on the site... etc."
If the model number begins with letters (such as MR, MT, SD,
SR, PM, PMD, AT, AV, etc.) then this is a model that was
produced after 1980, and so the site does not cover these.
I don't know much about these units, I spend all my time
learning about the 1980 or earlier models, all of which
begin with numbers (2275, 10b, etc.)
- "I need this/these part(s) for a..."
Please see the
FAQ for a discussion of
replacement parts for our classic Marantz units.
- "I want to buy a..."
Please see the

- "I want to sell a..."

- My (insert model here) unit needs repairs...
Please see the banner ad at the top of the
classifieds page, they provide repair services
- "I need a user's manual..."

- "I need a service manual..."

- "I need a schematic..."

- "I can't figure out how to install new lights/lamps..."
This is a mechanical issue that varies greatly between the various Marantz products.
I can't help you with this; You'll have to look the unit over and figure it out, or
else I suggest you take it to a technician. There are some subtle issues (and some
not so subtle like the plastic bezels are old and they break very easily!) that a technician
will generally be able to deal with that you won't.
If these points don't apply to you, then by all means shoot me an email, and I'll try and help if I can. Just

But remember: I do not answer emails that deal with the above issues. I just don't
have time. Thanks for understanding.
