Sony ST-515

by Jan Fa Date Added: Thursday 25 March, 2021
Hi got the ST-515 in a set with the TA-515, which was the piece I wanted primarily as I was not really interested in the tuner.
After testing it and using it for a while, I have to say this is one of the best tuners I have seen. It has stunning looks, it is well made - despite of SONY\'s decreasing build quality agrainst their early 70\'s models. Its quite sensitive too as the reception is better comparing to most other vintage tuners/receivers i have.
I was a little sceptical about the digital display - this is an element I am not much keen about in vintage gear, but I have to say that i absolutely love it. it works with the tunnign knob and has a premium, satisfying feeling, not the crap I expected before the purchase.
