I totally agree with Michael Vienneau review. I also have 221 and mine has gone completely refreshing and recapping. Sound is sweet, enjoyable, dynamic, warm and detailed.
Yes, it has 2x8w or 2x10w, but don't be fooled by that. When I was teenager I thrown a lot of parties with this receiver. It was so loud that we couldn't speak. Back then I didn't know that its so "weak" amp.
Just have to say one more thing. Until I did recapp my main unit was recapped Sansui Au517. After 221 came home with hard feelings I had to admit that 221 is going to replace Au517. That's how good sound of 221 is.
If you ever get one, just grab it.
